June 25, 2012, St. Vincent - KLF All-Star Student-Athlete Leandru Edwards graduated from high school today.
Attending the graduation ceremony were Leandru's KLF mentor Ms. Bertina Sandy and fellow All-Star Student-Athlete, Zanif Sandy, along with Leandru's family.
We are especially proud of Leandru's achievement, as it has not been an easy road for this young man. From the age of 14 he has been living under the supervision of his older brother & uncle (who are only 2 years older than him) so that he could continue his education.
KLF is glad to have played a small part in helping light the way forward for Leandru. From the moment he enrolled in our All-Star Student-Athlete Mentorship Program in 2010, he has impressed us with his determination and zeal for learning. Our mentors have consistently selected Leandru as the top overall performer of our All-Stars and we view him as an excellent role model for our junior All-Stars.
Congratulations Leandru Edwards - we know how hard you have worked to get to this point! We look forward to helping him set and pursue his goals for college and beyond during our summer learning program in California in July and August!
