We made plenty of time for our All-Stars to play basketball and learn how to play together as a team. On the first day, the kids played basketball with local players, while on the second day we focused on drills and technique.

As usual we packed as much as possible into the weekend, however we are always ready for unplanned opportunities! During dinner, Sir James Mitchell, the former prime minister of St. Vincent & the Grenadines stopped by to meet the kids and share some of the struggles he experienced on his way to the premiership.

We feel it is very important for our All-Stars to learn about their country and so we took them to the Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary where they met some of the graceful creatures with whom they share the ocean. Afterwards two of our mentors who are certified turtle handlers taught them some amazing facts about sea turtles.

The All-Stars also had the opportunity to hear from Mrs. Sabrina Mitchell- a successful businesswoman and KLF Board Member, and Mr. Shem Ollivierre - the only referee in St. Vincent & the Grenadines to be certified by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). The kids learned what it takes to make it to the top in the business world. They also learned that even if they don't become NBA players or similar, they can still keep basketball in their lives.
